Robert “Bobby J” Anthony Brown, Jr. was born on May 9, 1995 in Silver Spring, Maryland. He passed away on Monday March 16, 2020 at Holy Cross Hospital at the age of 24. He was baptized, received his first communion and his confirmation in 2006.

Bobby J was born with multiple disabilities including autism and cerebral palsy. At 33 months old he rode a school bus to MPAC (Montgomery Primary Achievement Center) full-time until he turned 5 years old.

At the age of 5 he transferred to Charles Drew Elementary for a year in a special education class. When he turned 6 years of age he attended St. Coletta of Greater Washington School where he received his High School Certificate while bonding with many special needs peers.

In 2016 at age 21, Bobby J. transitioned to adult services and attended St. Coletta of Greater Washington Adult Day Program until his hospitalization in December 2019.

Bobby J’s favorite thing to do was being with mommy and daddy. He also really enjoyed eating. He enjoyed music, musical toys, puzzles and he loved taking rides in the van. He also enjoyed many other activities including outings in the community.

He leaves to mourn his mother, Wanda Brown; father, Robert (Bobby) Brown, Sr. and his three (3) siblings, Aprille Williams, Alexandra Souder, Demia Roman, many nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Monitored visitation only will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Henry S. Washington & Sons funeral home, 4927 Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue, N.E., Washington, DC 20019.  Interment private.
