Ray Keels was born in Lynchburg, South Carolina on May 2, 1937 to the late James Ivory Keels and Ethel Mae Nelson Keels. He was the youngest of 10 children. He was called home to join our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 29, 2023. He passed away peacefully in his home.
Ray leaves behind two children, Tawanda Alette Keels and Dwayne Douglas Keels; daughter-in-law, Vivian Melara-Keels; four grandchildren, Antonio Wayne Melara, Toni Alexis Bullock, Daejah Denise Melara-Keels, and Dwayne
Douglas Keels Jr.; three great grandchildren, Kitai Idris Parham, Kimora E. Parham and Antonio Melara Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Turner Memorial AME Church, 7201 -16th Place, Hyattsville, MD 20783. Interment National Harmony Memorial Park.
