Dorothy Bernice Poletti, age 90, was born on May 5, 1932, in Grande Ronde Oregon and was called home on October 9, 2022. Dorothy is survived by her daughters Kit Small, Kim Karam, Karen Crawford and Kelley Cislo. She is survived by six grandchildren: Chris, Cory, Tanner, Meredith, Mason, and Cody. She has a son Robin who passed shortly after birth many years ago and sadly her granddaughter Hannah was suddenly called home shortly before she was. Her one and only great grandchild is Connor. Dorothy was a fabulous cook (known for her gravy), loved playing pinochle, loved big band and swing music and dancing with her husband Ervin, throwing grand parties, spending time at Gravelly Point watching the planes land, loved sitting on her front porch reading her USA Today paper or Reader's Digest and she loved traveling to visit with her daughters and close friends. She was known for her pleasant and loving nature, tenacity and spunk. She was a long term foster mom for Tails High cat rescue for the past 7 years and nurtured many kittens and several seniors at the end of their life. Dorothy served in the U.S. Navy as a WAVE. She garnered an extra appearance in the old movie Skirts Ahoy. During her active duty time, she met and married her husband Ervin Poletti. She was a supportive Navy wife fortunate enough to have duty stations in the Azores as well as Paris, France and Stuttgart, Germany. She was the best mom in the world ❤️
