Peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. He was made Pastor Emeritus of Tabernacle Baptist Church in December 2014, after having pastored for 34 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Magnolia Smith Stroman, on March 21, 2009. He is survived by two children, William, Jr. and Lena Stroman; two grandsons, William Stroman, III and Everett Watson, III; one granddaughter, Kenya Watson; three great-grandchildren, Madison Rae Stroman, Trey Powell and Exavier Dwight Watson; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation on Sunday, March 22 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday, March 23, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 719 Division Ave. NE., Washington, DC 20019. Interment Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.
