Passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015. He was preceded in death by wife, Constance Kimbles; daughter, Yetta Garris and sister, Shirley Dockery. He is survived by four children, Ivan Garris, Ivy Bowens, Geraldine Martin and Rhondia Garris and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation 10 a.m. until time of Service 11 a.m. Friday, April 17, at Greater Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, 1818 Gales St., NE, Washington, DC. Interment Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
