REVA LEE (DIUGUID) BROWN (age 96) Reva Lee (Diuguid) Brown was born the second child of the late Walter E. and Nannie Kate Diuguid on September 6, 1924, in Campbell County, Virginia, near Concord. Reva, known as "Nack" since childhood, enjoyed her family--including her sisters, Lizzie Mae ("Nick") and Nannie Belle ("Baby"), and her brother, Walter Jr. ("Boy"). They lived on the family farm and she was educated in Campbell County schools. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings and son, Lloyd Brown. After a short time living with her Aunt Mary and sister "Nick" in Washington, DC during the 1940's, Reva returned to Virginia where she met the love of her life, Lorenzo Cliff Brown. They married, and had four children: Florence Loretta Logan, Clifton L. Brown Jr. (Gloria), Lloyd Brown and Darlene Revette Brown. Cliff and Reva moved from Virginia to Washington DC, where they enjoyed gardening, the Redskins, and raising their family. Reva was a great neighbor and was active in the community. Reva was a humble servant of the Lord. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age, and was baptized by Rev. Thomas W. Tweedy, who, in 1922, married her parents. She thus became a member of Pilot Mountain Baptist Church, Concord VA. Later, in Washington, DC, she attended Bible Way Church. She joined First Rock Baptist Church March 30,1980, where she was an active member of the Tribe of Reuben and she particularly enjoyed ministering in song with the Women's Choir. Her memory is cherished by her husband of 72 years, Cliff Brown, and her children. Her grandchildren, Garlette, Darren, Monica, Kelli, Keyana, Rodney and Nicole and her seven great grands; four great-great grands; and four great-great-great grands celebrate her life!
