JAMES EMERSON THOMAS, SR. (Age 84) passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Edna Louise Ross; father, Preston H. Thomas; son James Jr.; brother Boyd Ross; and grandmother Sarah Louise Ross. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, Wife Martha Stephens Thomas; daughter Danette Thomas; brother, Richard Ross (Louise); one God Child, Lolethia Lomax Frazier; sister-in-law, Kathy Ross, and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m., on Saturday, January 12 at Queens Chapel United Methodist Church,7410 Old Muirkirk Road, Beltsville, MD 20705. Interment will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16 at Maryland Veterans Cemetery - Cheltenham, Cheltenham, MD.
