On Monday, June 3, Deacon Henry J. Miller was promoted to eternal life with the Lord.  A native Washingtonian, Henry J. was born on July 9, 1934.  He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and, after 37 years, he retired from civilian service with the Dept. of the Army at the Pentagon.  He is survived by his devoted and loving daughter, the Reverend Dr. Paula Miller-Lester (Allen); grandson, Deacon Allen C. Lester, Sr. (Minister Paige); two great-grandsons, Allen C. Lester, Jr. and Aiden D. Lester; sisters-in-law, Aaronita Brown and Monica S. McGriff (Rev. Dr. Lloyd T.); brother-in-law, Elder A. Lamont Mackley (Elder Marlane C.); and nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. A Service of Triumph will be held on Saturday, June 15 at The First Baptist Church of Deanwood, 1008 45th Street, NE, Washington, DC 20019.  Viewing 10 a.m.  Services at 11 a.m.  Internment Maryland National Memorial Park.
