David Eric Monroe, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017. He is survived by, wife, Joyce; four sons, Kneland Strain, David Strain, Eric Smith and George Gray; one daughter, April Harris (Edward); two brothers, Troy and Sylvester Monroe; two sisters, Lynette and Shirley Monroe; a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation 10:00 a.m., until time of service 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, June 24 at Henry S. Washington & Sons Funeral Home, 4925 Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave., NE, Washington, DC 20019. Interment private.
