Obituary

Crawley Easley, departed this life on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. He was born in Roanoke, Virginia on December 20, 1930 to the late Crawley and Louise Easley.

After relocating from Roanoke, Virginia to Washington DC, Crawley graduated from Dunbar High School. Upon graduation, Crawley joined the United States Army in 1950. He served in the 350th Infantry Regiment in Austria. Crawley was awarded a Purple Heart for injuries sustained during combat. He was honorably discharged in 1953.

Crawley dedicated his Professional life to the District of Columbia Public Schools as an Engineer until he retired in 1981. He was known by his friends, and co-workers as "School Boy". Crawley was a member of the International Union of Operation Engineers Local No. 0099.

Crawley attended and was a long time member of Saint Luke Catholic Church and loved the Lord.

Crawley was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo Golston Easley he later remarried Izola May Ellis Easley, who also preceded him in death, along with son, Phillip L. Postell. He leaves to cherish his memory 7 children; Terry Lancaster (John), Vincent Easley, Bryant Easley (Denise), Barbara Golston, Bruce Golston, Maurice Golston and Stanley Golston. He also leaves behind 23 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Special thank you to Robert Drayton for his friendship of over thirty years.
