Survived by a daughter, Paula Buckner; two sons, Maurice Rivers (Cheryl) and John Thorpe; an adopted daughter, Venita Thorpe; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a godson; three foster children; a host of other relatives and friends.
