Made her transition on Thursday, June 18, 2015. She was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, niece, nephew and grandson-in-law at Providence Hospital, Washington, DC. She was preceded in death by her husband and high school sweetheart, Henry Parker, in 2006 after 66 years of marriage. Also predeceased by her three sisters and five brothers. She leaves to honor and cherish her memory, eight devoted children, Barbara, Reginald, Irvin, Dianne, Henry R. and Marvin Parker, Carolyn Watson and Karen Carter; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, four daughters-in-law, two sons-in-law, two great daughters-in-law, five great sons-in-law and a host of loving and adoring cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation, Thursday, June 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, June 26 from 9:30 a.m. until time of service, 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Deanwood, 1008 - 45th St., N.E., Washington, DC.
