Basil "Billy" Chittams entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 20, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Vernell Chittams; his children, Anthony Chittams, Eugeneio Montez Jones, Tonya Hill, Angela Chittams, Demetrius Chittams, Dominic Chittams, and Dolan Chittams; sixteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Seaton Memorial A.M.E. Church, 5507 Lincoln Avenue, Lanham, MD 20706. Interment will follow at National Harmony Memorial Park.
